THINGS could get ugly for visiting Gulf Isapeas in Goroka on Sunday in round six of the Digicel Cup.
Still smarting from their 20-18 loss to Enga Mioks last round Goroka Lahanis will be out to consolidate their position as competition leaders with a big win at the NSI.
Lahanis coach Peter Danga did not give much away but said his men would not be complacent against the bottom ranked Isapeas who were thrashed 42-8 by Mt Hagen Eagles.
He said Isapeas would be determined play well looking for their first win of the season.
Lahanis pack is an imposing one with Kumul second rower Nicko Ubile and fellow Kumuls Tony Dai and skipper Glen Nami leading Gonzella Urakusie, Elvis Dick, Micah Soboni, Jackol Uwako, and veterans Limu Willie and George Abba off the bench.
Halves Casey Frank and Walter Hasu have at their disposal backline stars Thompson Teteh and Chris Hogi in the centres, winger Minaho Goso  Adex Wera at fullback.
Isapeas will have to play out of their skins to have  any hope the Lahanis take them lightly to have any chance of causing the boilover in Goroka.
Over in Kundiawa, Simbu Warriors will also want to make amends for their 32-26 loss to Vipers last Sunday when they host Rabaul Gurias at the Dickson oval.
However, Warriors must not underestimate the Tolais, as they have a potent backline blessed with speed and counter-attacking ability.
Skipper Kot Kerowa and Kumul Pidi Togap will lead a young but  energetic bunch against the Warriors.
Warriors will start slight favourites at home but will need to plug the holes in their defensive line to hold out the Gurias.
