The Gulf Isapea players who played last year are under a cloud of doubt as to whether their services are required for the 2014 Digicel Cup.

Players like Junior Belo, Junior Arova, Karo Kauna Jr and John Horope are among others still waiting for word from the Isapeas management whether they were interested in their services or not.

Winger Pipi Kilori, Dickson and Nelson Wallen were seen playing with Whitehaven Laigap Brothers in the Southern leg challenge of the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup.

Arova, Kauna and Belo were with Paga Panthers last week and bowed out after losing to the Jessie Joe Nandye led Whitehaven Laigap Brothers.

Horope said that he signed a three-year contract with the Isapeas in 2011 and his contract expired last year and he is now a free agent.

The others still do not know what will happen to them as yet.

Jacob Ivaroa, a director on the Isapea board said a media conference would be called to release details when they were  ready.

In the meantime, the Isapeas hopefuls are biding their time in off-season competitions.
