Island prison in lieu of death penalty

THE government intended to implement the death penalty in 2013.

Many organisations and churches opposed the idea, based on some very solid reasons.

Now, the government has  yet  to strategise ways to discipline criminals and minimise crimes.

We all know that the death sentence is not the right solution to eliminate  murder and rape.

I  suggest we establish an island  prison  for rapists and  murderers,  as  PNG  has many islands.

Other advantages and disadvantages relevant to an island prison can be addressed later on.

Or, for a more accurate solution, cut a leg off so a lesson is learned.
