Israel needs our prayers: Pastor

Faith

CHRISTIANS in Papua New Guinea should support and stand with Israel in prayer, says International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem (ICEJ) PNG branch director, Pastor Peter Harut.Harut said the people who gave us the Bible, the Jewish state, is now surrounded by allied forces including Iran, Russia and Turkey. “Other powerful enemy countries of Israel might join force to destroy Israel at any moment,” he said. “However, this is to fulfil their dreams of removing Israel from the world map, as the Iranian commander repeatedly mentioned: No more Israel, no more Israel.“But this piece of land is permanent and given by God as land of the Jews.”Harut said Zechariah 14:1-8 “gives us a clear understanding that God alone will fight for Israel against its enemies”.“Many assume that we are getting closer to the end of times and this could be the signs as prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39,” he said. “Hamas went to the extreme of raining down 3,000-plus missiles to Israel in many of its cities including Tel- Aviv. “The two-week battle claimed lives and properties. “I am, therefore, extending the request of the Jewish people through the ICEJ headquarter in Jerusalem for any rescue assistance from PNG.“I understand it is not a good time as the Covid-19 has affected our country’s economy, but I felt obligated to relay the request.”Harut said the immediate need was for bomb shelters for the Jewish people.“We need to assist them in this very time of need with finance and prayer,” he said. “More than 200 nations around the world are giving a hand through their ICEJ branches to aid them for safety and security purposes.”
