Issuing of condoms is a distraction to athletes

I am disgusted by the decision of the South Pacific Games Committee to make condoms available to the participants of the games in fear of the surge in sex related diseases.

Firstly, the foreign athletes are in the nation for one single purpose: sports.

Whoever is here to participate in activities other than sports should not be entertained by getting free condoms to commit fornication and adultery.

It certainly took professional sports personalities a lot to reach the pinnacle of their respective sports and one of the key factors that correspond to their success is self-discipline.

Are the authorities implying that these professional athletes have no self-control?

Moreover, sex workers in Port Moresby must be strongly discouraged from capitalising on this sporting spectacle to boost their sinful employment.

I believe the measurement of a human being totally rests with ethics and morals.Without  them everything is worthless.

I urge all athletes to strive for gold and not let temptations distract them. Away with the spirit of lust and let the true spirit of the Games prevail.
