DOCKERS skipper Stanis Isu wants to win that elusive Port Moresby AFL premiership.

After five grand final losses, Isu is hell-bent on finally winning one premiership when they play the Gordon Kokofas for the BSP Cup at the Colts Oval at 2pm tomorrow.

Losing four years with his previous club, the Mosbi Swans and then one with the Dockers in 2011 has been playing on his mind all week. The centre-half forward is confident this time he will finally get rid of that annoying ‘monkey’ off his back.

“The feeling is positive and this has come because of the great family support to the players all season. Club patron Dominic Kaumu and president Loi Bakani have provided that bonding spirit which I believe will carry us through to win on Saturday,” Isu said.

Isu, 25, from Hoskins (West New Britain) and Lowon (New Ireland) has been following in the footsteps of his star playing father in former Mosquito, Sebastian Isu.

“Stanis kicks on average four goals per game. In one of our games this year he kicked 11 goals, falling short by one goal of his father’s 12 goals in a game,” Kaumu said. Isu said he missed the two matches against the Kokofas this season and would like nothing better than to cap off a champagne season with a convincing win.

Other key players who will compliment Isu’s determination full-forward Sebastian Gelu, centre-half forward Emmanuel Tupia and full-back Raymond Vogae.
