Jail boss rejects vehicles

COMMANDER of Barawagi jail Supt Charles Au’u has rejected two new Toyota Landcruisers presented to the jail by two Simbu MPs. Mr Au’u told a parade at the jail last Monday that he did not need politician’s vehicles. The two vehicles were presented to the jail by Karamui-Nomane MP Posi Menai and Kerowagi MP Guma Wau a week ago. Correctional Services Minister Tony Aimo and Commissioner Richard Sikani witnessed the presentations. Supt Au’u was concerned that correctional officers were misusing vehicles donated by politicians.
