Jamas capitalise on Telikom errors

Jamas escaped with two points in the decider to win three sets to two against PTPSL Telikom in the National Capital District Volleyball Association men’s premier division on Saturday.
The sides were locked at 13 points apiece in the tie breaker when Telikom made two unforced errors.
This proved costly for Telikom as Jamas made them pay, wrapping up the five-setter in a thrilling encounter.
Jamas’ George David, Charlie Maino, Poka Ai and Charlie Iru were matched in all departments by Telikom, who were led by Jeffery Charlie and David Numa.
The game seesawed as both sides fought point for point till the final whistle.
In other results, Vailima gave Eda Tech Scorpions a good run for their money before going down 3-1 and MJ Electrical U-Mi Yet beat Ela Motors 3-0.
In the women’s division, Eda Tech Scorpions nailed Vailima in straight sets, MJ Electrical beat Ela Motors three sets to nil and PTPSL Telikom brushed aside Jamas with the same scoreline.
