AN advanced diploma in accounting student at the International Training Institute is excited because a new career pathway has been created.
“I’ve been dreaming of such an opportunity,” said Morea Tau during a student session with James Cook University representative Tara Taylor. James Cook is based in Townsville, North Queensland
“This pathway has created a way outside our normal circle of studies.
“The session with Tara is an eye-opener and the fees are affordable for quality learning.”
The young lad from Pari village, in Central, is determined to study at James Cook University.
Tau wants to aim high to achieve his goal of getting a career in accounting.
Tau said: “For every job experience you come across, you will always want to go higher.
“JCU has made this easier by creating this partnership, which is also affordable.”
According to Tau, accounting in a business is very important because it provides information which allows the management to have a clearer picture of where the business is going.
“Coming here to ITI has persuaded me to take up accounting,” he said.
“I am very interested and the door has been opened for me now.
“I want to pursue a Bachelor of Accounting at JCU when I complete this advance diploma in accounting.”
