THE Grisa community-based organisation in the Jiwaka region is the proud recipient of a K19,300 loan from the National Development Bank.
NDB helped the organisation to further boost its productivity in vegetables farming, poultry projects, table sales and other income generating activities.
During the presentation last Thursday at Grisa village outside Banz, Jiwaka bank branch manager John Rambu said the bank was happy to help the Grisa and Munumb communities in their income generating activities as it would alleviate social problems and improve living standards.
He said the loan was like seed capital where it would boost the morale of members in their income generating activities or to start new projects.
He said the K19,300 would be repaid over a six-month period under the bank’s microfinance community-based organisation, Tutu and Kisim na Bekim product.
Organisation president Lucy Bruno thanked NDB saying the money would help members become involved in income generating activities.
