THE newly-created Jiwaka province will have a K50 million twin tower headquarters comprising eight stories each.
Jiwaka Transitional Authority member Philip Kapal said the authority had decided that the headquarters for Jiwaka would stretch from Kudjip to Banz.
He said the Catholic mission in Banz had allocated a portion of land for the building.
A South Korean company had been awarded the contract to construct the building.
But work had not started because K500,000 for surveying, valuation and crop payments had not been made.
Work should start anytime this year when JTA releases the funds for the headquarter development.
He urged JTA members and chairman Benjamin Mul to speed up the construction of the headquarters.
Jiwaka will elect its representatives to the parliament for the first time this year.
