Jiwakans urged to use NDB loans

 TRADE Commerce and Industry Minister Richard Maru has urged Jiwakans to take advantage of the low interest on loans offered by the National Development Bank.

Maru told a big crowd in Banz town during the official launching of Jiwaka Indigenous Business Council and opening of the National Development Bank (NDB) last Thursday that the bank was offering low interest to help the people.

“I want to encourage you to go to the bank and get a loan and start or further expand your businesses as no other commercial banks will offer you a low 6.5% interest on loan,” Maru said.

Other commercial banks were ripping off the small people by charging them high interest on loans and other extra charges, he said.

He told the people that a new micro bank branch would soon open in Jiwaka to help them with their banking needs,
