BULOLO town is to start a new life for youths by involving them in meaningful activities.

The “Safer Bulolo” initiative is to involve youths in community projects.

Church, women and community leaders are the behind the formation of the Teko Security Services registered last month to create employment opportunities for jobless youths.

Victor Sonny said those behind the initiative were Bulolo district law and order chairman  Tim Yotong, Yamap tribe leader Yateng Yaing, police, Bubu tribe leader Francis Laiam, woman leader Woku Geparo, Gibson Asi, Ward 3 councillor Amon Matthias and Fred Soga.

The new company aims to employ youths to reduce crime, ethnic violence, homebrew and drug problems, which had hindered development in the mining town.
