PROVIDING jobs for unemployed youths is crucial to reducing law and order problems, All Workers Barber Services manageress Yarlu Timothy says.
Timothy said the nationally-owned company was providing jobs to the youths who did not have qualifications for work in the formal sector.
She said that the company provided on-the-job training to unemployed youths to become professional barbers.
“We are providing free education through our on-the-job training to the uneducated and unemployed boys,” she said.
“We see that it’s an opportunity to employ them as they are desperate to find jobs in the city.”
Timothy said they had trained seven youths to become barbers in their shop.
“I feel that we need to open our doors to help unemployed youths,” she said.
