WAIGANI Committal Court magistrate Rosie Johnson disqualified herself on Wednesday from presiding over a case against Public Services Minister and Abau MP Sir Puka Temu because of conflict of interest.
Johnson transferred Sir Puka’s case to another magistrate Cosmas Bidar, and adjourned his case
to Sept 13.
She said it would be unethical for her to preside on Sir Puka’s case as she knew him personally.
Sir Puka has been charged with perverting the cause of justice when he allegedly interfered with state witnesses in his adultery case in Port Moresby.
