Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika has reserved a ruling on motions for an amendment of objections to competencies following arguments of an election petition for the Southern Highlands regional seat between candidate Joseph Kobol and Southern Highlands governor William Powi.
Kobol’s lawyer Terence Lambert, QC, objected to motions filed by the electoral commission and Powi for an amendment of objection to competencies.
Lambert said the law did not allow any amendment to such notice of motions.
