many criticisms against the Judicial Conduct Act and the election deferral were driven by emotions without full knowledge of the subject.
I wonder how many citizens have read or understand the act.
The government is at fault  for not explaining it to the public, but university students, unions, and other civil society groups should also not mislead the public.
The act came about when the Supreme Court was about to decide on the government’s legality.
Many viewed it as an attempt to prevent the judiciary from exercising its powers.
But if we were to critically analyse the act objectively, we would have a different view as no one is above the law.
Where is justice when judges use restraining orders to stop police investigations?
It is about time we have a law to regulate the conduct of judges.
The government should be commended for making such critical decisions without fear or favour.
