Justice dept continues to support association

THE Department of Justice and Attorney-General will continue to support the ex-prisoners’ association in its work to promote law and order in rural communities, department officials said during a visit last month to the Avi Foursquare Church in Jiwaka say.
The department had helped the association with poultry projects to fund its programmes.
Association chairman Pastor Moses Kerua said the promised support was good.
“The department has been very supportive and the continued support will help the programme reach more people,” he said.
The association will launch a community policing awareness programme in June.
