Juvenile charged with stealing laptop, K19,000 from administrator

A JUVENILE has admitted stealing items from a car belonging to a district administrator outside a restaurant.
The juvenile from Korokopa village in Angoram, East Sepik, admitted in the Madang national court to stealing items belonging to the district administrator for Middle Ramu, Edmund Ombeba.
Before a closed court, the youth admitted to stealing an Acer laptop and its carry bag, official documents, K6,000 in cash and six cheques valued at K12,890.00 in a locked car early this year.
The court was told that Ombeba and another friend had gone into the Bangui Restaurant for lunch when the youth and two of his accomplices committed the theft.
The juvenile has no prior convictions and a pre-sentence report will be made before Judge Cannings.
He was charged with one count of stealing.
