K10,000 put up for Independence soccer tourney

The NCD Public Servants Soccer Association is putting up K10,000 as prize money for any interested teams that want to take part in the Independence Cup at the PNG Institute of Public Affairs Oval, Waigani, starting tomorrow.
PNGFA vice-president John Kapi Natto said the Independence Cup tournament was open to all interested teams from Port Moresby Soccer Association, NCDPSSA and also the NCD Suburban Sports.
Kapi Natto said it was a special occassion and players wishing to celebrate the public holiday can register their interest with the tournament coordinator Thomas Piliwas on 7395 4447.
The competition will start tomorrow and end on Saturday.
The tournament’s registration fee is K500 per team.
