THE Enga Mioks received a morale boosting K120,000 from Wabag MP Robert Ganim to prepare for Sunday’s clash with the Goroka Lahanis in Wabag.

Ganim presented a cheque for the amount to Mioks chairman Anton Wangai on Monday.

The money was part of K200,000 distributed to three sports organisations.

The other two recipients were the Enga Soccer Association and Wabag Rugby League, which received K30,000 and K50,000 each.

“Among other reasons, this donation is for the Mioks to beat the Goroka Lahanis,” Ganim said.

He said he was disappointed with the two losses the Mioks had suffered at the hands of the Port Moresby Stop n Shop Vipers and Lae Snax Tigers, but that should not deter the team being positive.

He said all players and coaches must know discipline was integral to becoming  champions. “Discipline is the way to go. You can come up with all the skills and tactics you may think of in sports but if your team does not have a defined discipline code of practice, you shall be bound to tragedy,” he said.
