NINE staff quarters at the Divine Word University St Benedict’s campus in Wewak were blessed in a ceremony last week.
Five are two-bedroom and four are three-bedroom homes. The houses were built under the School of Nursing project costing K2.6 million.
Bishop Jozef Roszynski welcomed the new facilities saying they were a big achievement for the university and the church.
The church theme for 2019 is a “call for people to holiness”, contributing also to proper health and education services for the people.
“With such governance by the right people, this university will prosper,” he said.
Bishop Jozef Roszynski and campus vice-president Dr Lawrence Arockiaraj blessed the new homes.
The ceremony last Wednesday was attended by staff, students and people from nearby communities.
