A K2 million 14-in-one classroom is being constructed at the Waigani Christian College in Port Moresby to cater for over 500 students, according to Waigani Christian College director Benjamin Mul.
“We will have seven classrooms upstairs with six toilets and four bathrooms and downstairs will have seven classrooms, six toilets and four bathrooms for the students to use,” he explained.
Mul said each classroom would cater for 30 to 40 students.
Construction started in March and was expected to be completed before the end of the year.
Mul said they had two schools – kindergarten to grade five were at another campus and grade six to 12 were located at another campus.
He said students at the lower grades would be moved together with the rest of the students come the 2022 academic year.
Mul believed in providing quality education with good facilities such as classrooms, library, science laboratories, trained and qualified teachers for the students.
He said the school’s vision is to send many students to colleges and universities.
