PRIME Minister James Marape says K2 million was distributed to all the districts to address the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Marape told Parliament on Friday: “This K2 milion is for the Covid-19 of which the breakdown is K1 million to help agriculture in each district, K500,000 for small to medium enterprises and K500,000 for the water sanitation and hygiene programme which North Fly James Donald has explained.”
Marape said that was on top of the K2 million for the Covid-19 intervention.
They had allocated K10 million to the district services improvement programme, he said.
“Out of that, 20 per cent (K2 million) was for the health sector and we have distributed that K2 million to all the districts,” Marape said.
“It’s up to you (MPs) to use that K2 milion for your health programmes in time of the Covid-19.
“So, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the onus is on each of us.”
