K2 million for school fees

Education

HENGANOFI MP Robert Atiyafa is distributing nearly K2 million to tertiary institutions as fees for students from the district.
He has been paying fees for students since 2013.
Atiyafa said tertiary students from the three local level governments had collected data and personal information from every student in tertiary institutions and their fees.
“Every year, we are paying school fees for between 7,000 and 8,000 tertiary students,” he said.
“This year, we are paying K1.9 million.”
Atiyafa said 6,000 students who benefited from Henganofi were now employed in various fields.
“With educated citizens, there will be good homes, villages and roads.
“There will be no tribal fights, and law and order problems will be gone and economic activities will flourish in the district and provinces,” Atiyafa said.

  • Well done Mr MP for your generous assistance towards the students, I as a student would like to thank you for the very outstanding support that you showed to the students. The true legacy is not portrait by the high buildings or expensive vehicle or not by materials. I hope this grate investment will not be wast. You are serving the destiny not the students. Can I say once again, building man to be a man, assisting them to fulfil their purpose coming to know who they are is the toughest job any man can ever do and that is the true picture of leadership the legacy will be remain forever. Once again thank you very much for fantastic job. God bless Papua New Guinea.
