K20,000 more to back sports

NATIONAL Capital District Governor Powes Parkop has allocated an additional K20,000 to support sporting activities during the Christmas and New Year break.
NCD Suburban Sports coordinator Billy Yaki said the sponsorship would go towards volleyball, touch and basketball during the festive period.
Yaki said all the suburbs were covered under the allocation ranging from K1,000 to K2,000.
The funds will be distributed to their respective zone coordinators to stage their sporting activities.
With the success of the NCD Governor’s Cup challenge, Parkop would like to see touch, volleyball and basketball receiving similar backing.
