K45,000 for Kindeng elementary school

Highlands, Normal

THE Kindeng Foursquare elementary school in the Anglimp-South Waghi district, Western Highlands province, is the proud recipient of two classrooms worth K45,000, thanks to Digicel Foundation (PNG).
This initiative also strengthened the partnership between Digicel Foundation (PNG) and the Foursquare church of PNG.
Pr Thomas Pena, the founder ofthe school said the classrooms were completed last month and will be officially opened in February.
Pr Pena said the school would benefit more than 10,000 people in the area because there were no other elementary schools there.
He said the church was established in the area in 2004 and built the school because there were no other schools.
He said the elementary school enrolled its first students last year and currently registers a total of 120 students every year and has three full-time volunteer teachers.
Pr Pena thanked Digicel Foundation (PNG) for building the classrooms and said he was looking forward to working in partnership with them.
