K7.3 billion collected in 2013

 THE Internal Revenue Commission collected K7.3 billion in 2013, according to its 2013 annual report presented in Parliament yesterday by Treasurer Patrick Pruaitch.

Pruaitch, when presenting the report, said the IRC had performed very well in 2013 and had exceeded Government expectations on all fronts.

“For example, the IRC remains strongly focused on collecting revenue for the Government and the people of PNG,” he said.

“At K7.3 billion, the IRC’s total 2013 revenue collections were K119 million above the mid-year economic and fiscal outlook projections for the year.”
