MEMBER for Kabwum Bob Dadae says education is a vital tool that can equip young people to prepare for a better future.
Yesterday, he presented three cheques to two schools and a health centre in Kabwum district, Morobe, under the 2010 district services improvement programme (DSIP).
Recipients of the funding were the Ozusage Primary School – K50,000, Kewawio Primary School – K100,000 and K50,000 for the Isan Health Centre, in the Yus local level government area.
Dadae presented money under the DSIP funding to the Kabwum, Markham Valley and Wasu high schools, which enrol the bulk of students from his district.
In presenting the cheques to Yus community leaders in Lae yesterday, Dadae said through an educated population, communities, provinces and the country would develop.
He is sponsoring Kabwum students to take up post-graduate studies at universities.
He hit back at aspiring candidates and critics who attacked him in the media that no development had taken place in his electorate during his
tenure as MP in the past nine years.
