Kagua Erave top conference

Sports

Kagua Erave will finish the Petroleum National Soccer League regular season as Highlands Conference leaders despite meeting second-placed Blue Kumuls in the final round in Goroka this weekend.
Kagua Erave have 21 points and Blue Kumuls 16.
Kagua Erave are looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 1-0 loss to Enga Laima, with coach Steven Mune and his assistant Amos Ramo aiming to finish off the regular season on a high note.
The Blue Kumuls, on the other hand, will be looking to pick up from where they left off, after their 10-4 victory over Simbu Angra last weekend.
The Andrew Apo-coached Blue Kumuls will be relying on Nelson Sam, who scored four goals last week, continue his form in attack.
Kagua Erave will be relying on Jorden Kaven, Papalau Awele and Langarap Samel to get the home.
Blue Kumuls will need to contain former Besta and Madang striker Awele if they are to get anything out of the match.
Conference fixtures: Simbu Angra v Aporro Mai, Mt Hagen v Enga Laima, Blue Kumuls v Kagua Erave.
