KAGUA Rugby League in Southern Highlands will be hosting its grand finals on Saturday with six teams ready to face off in three divisions.
League president Benny Noel told The National yesterday the competition had a short season which started in October with 10 rounds played before the finals held last week. “We have three divisions which are men’s A grade, men’s reserve and women’s divisions,” Noel said.
He said the league was revived in 2017 with the aim to stop tribal fights in the area.
Noel thanked sponsor BK Construction.“Our sponsor has donated jerseys and has bought K8,000 worth of trophies, K5,000 in prize money and K2,000 for the maintenance of the oval we are using,” he said.
