MOROBE Governor Luther Wenge yesterday called on the Kamkumung people to be part of the solution to stop future clashes like the recent attacks and destruction of property in Lae.
The Kamkumung people are traditional landowners of the Back Road area and allocate land blocks to settlers.
In a week of tension and fear following the murder of a Kabwum youth and the retaliatory attack on innocent Western Highlanders, not one Kamkumung leader had come out publicly to voice their position on an issue now affecting  Lae city.
No representative from Kamkumung was there to speak yesterday at Eriku despite them being given the opportunity to speak as landowners.
