THE only challenger for the PNG Football Association president’s post, John KapiNatto, has called on incumbent David Chung to resign following the deferral of the PNGFA Congress to February next year,
KapiNatto, who was in Arawa for the Bougainville selection trials for the PNG Games, was disappointed to learn on Friday about the rescheduling of the  congress.
However, on Saturday, PNGFA secretary-general Dimirit Milengissued a media statement which said that the summary audit by member associations done by the PNGFA office were inconsistent with statutes of PNGFA.
KapiNatto said Circular 5 was an embarrassment to PNGFA and the majority of presidents’were concerned if PNGFA could not stage its congress on the scheduled date of August 7 in Kimbe, West New Britain.
“Why hard now on compliance issue on the 11th hour when similar problems also existed in 2004 to 2015, and so suddenly in 2016.
Hekari Soccer Association president KapiNattoreminded Chung and the office of the Mileng that congress was the only place to discuss the matter and not in circulars.
He urged Mileng to call an extra-ordinary meeting immediately to address the matter of adjournment.
Kapi Natto said OFC could not be brought into a domestic issue and dictate to  local associations.
