THE new administration in the remote Karimui-Nomane district will focus on improving infrastructure such as public servants’ quarters.
District administrator Limbia Tiagobe and Karimui-Nomane MP Mogerema Wei want to get rid of old buildings constructed during the colonial days and make a fresh start.
Tiagobe travelled to the remote Karimui district administration building and began work in what he described as a “ghost” office.
“I felt for the people and would be living among them to at least provide for their needs and clean up some of the colonial relics and structures,” he said.
