Kauba pays tribute to Kanekane

 ACTING Police Commissioner and chief of police operations Simon Kauba yesterday paid tribute to the late Joe Kanekane, director of Law and Justice Sector.

He said Kanekane’s passing had shocked those in the justice system in Papua New Guinea.

Kauba said during Kanekane’s tenure,  he administered effective networking and collaboration among all the agencies and aspired for all partner agencies to work together in the spirit of the government’s approach in the dispensation of justice in the country.

He added that Kanekane had performed exceptionally well and maintained a professional relationship with all departmental heads through the National Consultative Mechanism (NCM), of which the Police Commissioner was a member.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by his untimely passing and we pray for God almighty to comfort his family in this time of grief,” Kauba said.
