Kaupa pleased with schoolboys season

PORT Moresby Schoolboys Rugby League (POMSBRFL) chairman Ben Kaupa has commended all his zone coordinators for hosting successful schoolboys’ rugby league grand finals this season.
In company of Northeast Schoolboys coordinator Aron Henry and secretary Simon Fofa, Kaupa said Northwest was the last zone to host their final last Saturday at PRL Oval 2.
Kaupa, who took over as chairman in 2009 was pleased that the school kids enjoyed the game to the fullest till the finals.
He thanked PNGRFL Southern regional development officer Ripa Kalamo for his tireless efforts to support schoolboys’ rugby league in the National Capital District.
He also thanked PNGNRL Bid for creating the pathway in organising tours for elite schoolboys’ players to Queensland, which has created a lot of enthusiasm amongst school children.
The Bid also supported the school programme by supplying uniforms and caps for coordinators.
Kaupa said PNGNRL Bid  created a pathway, and a big thank you must go to Shane Morris, Brad Tassell and Arnold Krewanty from the Bid office in Port Moresby for organising such tour.
The Bid office has been working tirelessly organising such programmes in Port Moresby and throughout the country.
Henry, the Northeast Schoolboys Rugby League coordinator, said there were nine communities and five high schools involved in the competition in his schoolboys zone.
