Keeping an eye on SME funding

THE SME policy is captured under the seven strategic areas aimed at achieving the government’s Vision 2050 goals.
The funding comes directly from Waigani to promote small-and-medium enterprises entrepreneurs within the district.
The SME funding should target current businesses operated by the Chuave people operating in the district, not Chuave people operating from other provinces.
The SME funding should be administered by a public officer attached with the commerce division and he or she should be assisted by a committees comprising public servants and not MP supporters.
Let’s use our skilled people engaged as district officers to implement government policies.
The policymakers should not interfere with the policy implementers.
