Kerowagi gets new building for college

THE Kerowagi district in Chimbu has opened a new three-storey building to cater for the increasing number of intakes into its church-established technical college.
The Chimbu Don Bosco Technical College is expected to accommodate students, not only from Chimbu but from other provinces who will join its technical vocational education training.
Kerowagi MP Bari Palma said his late predecessor John Kamb had wanted technical experts in the blue collar industry to develop the district.
“I will continue to make that dream a reality,” Palma said.
“I will build the economic hub along the Okuk Highway. I urge our people living along the highway and Kerowagi district to release your land for development. The highway presents a conducive environment for people to make money.”
The displayed some of the facilities and machineries it has to the visitors.
Palma gave K50,000 to the collage as part of the K100,000 he had committed.
Governor Michael Dua also committed K100,000 for the construction of a new school building this year.
