MOMENTUM is picking as fighters all over the country prepare for the national  kickboxing showdown at the Momei Oval in Mendi, Southern Highlands, this weekend.
Still not knowing who to represent, professional fighter Rodney Wariea and his coach Pex Kinde are aiming for positive results when they both flew to Mendi yesterday to take part in the tournament.
And to boost his fight, Bank South Pacific has come on board to help support Wariea with K2,500 plus BSP merchandise.
Wariea works at the electronic banking department with BSP and as an on going community focused company, BSP has given its blessing for Wariea to be an ambassador for the bank and supported him in his preparations for the event.
Wariea , the former national and regional champion, will be up against some of the nation’s best fighters, including several Australian fighters, who have yet to be named by promoter and PNG Kickboxing president Stanley Nandex.
Wariea thanked BSP for its support saying it would go a long way in helping him in his sporting career as a professional kickboxer.
This will also mark a new era for the bank to have supported a professional kickboxer.
