Kickboxers to travel for bouts in Aust

THREE Papua New Guinean kickboxers will leave for Australia this weekend to fight in an amateur/professional kickboxing bouts organised by Jez Promotions NSW Pty Ltd in Sydney.
Thirty-three-year-old Tom Tomba, from Birop village in Mendi, Southern Highlands, will travel with John Ake and Freddy Mara.
Tomba has won 20 amateur, 10 national, four international and two professional fights.
Steve Jes, the host of the event, told the trio in a statement that their fights were scheduled for June 9 at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club.
He said the trio had competed in some of his previous events.
Tomba will fight New Zealander Lakopo Esera in the professional category.
