THE Papua New Guinea Kickboxing Association has finalised its calendar for 2015.

PNG Kickboxing Association president Stanley Nandex said the sport had been misled by number of unauthorised people and organisations promoting shows and events without proper authorisation.

Nandex said there was a proper way and procedure in place to be followed but certain individuals and organisations had shown a disregard for the proper conduct.

He said individuals and organisations that were involved in any kickboxing activity in the country needed to respect the  position of the  PNGKBA and its right to promote and develop the fighters.

Nandex warned fighters and organisations not to deal directly with international bodies to promote or sanctioned events in the country without the association’s approval and consent.

“PNGKBA is a well-established organisation registered with the IPA and it has guidelines to meet the state’s short and long-term development strategy ‘The Pillars of 2050 Vision’ and therefore any interested organisation and individual must work with PNGKBA,” Nandex said.

“The World Kickboxing Federation and Oceania Kickboxing Federation must not interfere with us and only be involve at the professional level.”

Nandex said he was disappointed with the sanctioning body for not promoting the code on the   amateur level as part of the development of young men and women in the country.
