Kickboxing schedules meeting
The National, Wednesday February 18th, 2015
PAPUA New Guinea Kick Boxing Association president Stanley Nandex has announced Macrh 23 as the date for its annual general meeting to be held in Goroka, Eastern Highlands.
Nadex said 19 provincial kickboxing presidents had confirmed their attendance.
He said the main agenda presented during the meeting would be a legal framework for the association and preparation for the year’s events.
“We will need to upgrade to a federation due to the increase in member associations,” Nandex said.
“Among issues to discuss will be the inclusion of kickboxing in the 2019 Pacific Games,” he said.
He said they were hoping to address all issues on the agenda.
“Our main concern is to stop organisations and individuals promoting and sanctioning events without proper authorisation from the association in collaboration with international bodies without our approval as a legal authority,” he said.
Nandex is appealing to the members to work with the PNGKBA office.
