Kickboxing show set for this month

Headhunter KO Promotions and PNG Kickboxing Federation are preparing for a big showdown which was deferred from last year due to the Apec summit.
Promoter Stanley Nandex said preparations were going well for the show this month with positive responses from businesses.
Nandex said it was challenging trying to secure sponsorship in the current economic climate.
He said the Office of the Sports Minister, the National Capital District Commission and PNG Tourism Promotions Authority are coming in force to make it happen.
Nandex said the event would give opportunities to all the fighters from juniors to seniors to expose their talent and skill to place them in different spot to find a position for international challenge.
More than 50 fighters will complete during the day with the main bouts set for the evening.
The event will be split to four divisions, supporting bouts, 8-man tournament, undercard bouts and the main event.
The show will feature notable fighters in Lee Henry Garap, Rickson Yamo, Jeffery Daka and even former PNG Hunters prop Timothy Lomai.
