THE Kimbe Cutters will host their second provincial trial tomorrow with the Cutters to take on a Bialla select side for the preseason fixture at the Peter Humphrey’s Oval in Kimbe.
Cutters team manager Freddy Kumai told The National that the team was not in camp due to the Covid-19 measures, however, players were doing their training in isolation to prepare for tomorrow’s game.
“The Cutters will be playing a Bialla Rugby League selected side compromising few locals from the Ulamona village,” he said.
“Bialla are coached by former Kumul and Port Moresby Vipers prop Chris Lome.
“The team intend to use this trial game to finalise its 25-man squad before the season commences on April 24-25 (tentative date set by PNG Rugby Football League).
“Due to Covid-19 restriction, the players are isolated at home and are not in camp.
“We are happy with the team’s progress so far with good experience and competent coaching staff handling preparations for the preseason.”
