Kina, ANZ aim for smooth transition

IF you are an ANZ customer, you do not have to do anything when Kina Bank acquires ANZ’s retail, commercial and small to medium enterprise on Sept 23.
Kina Bank chief executive officer Greg Pawson, speaking during the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry business breakfast in Port Moresby, said that it will be a smooth transition.
“We will migrate close to 100,000 customers from ANZ to our platform,” he said.
“September 23 is the big day for us. A lot of things are going on behind the scene. The important thing for ANZ customers is we are able to talk to them, we are able to engage with them, we have had a number of functions, we have a road show commencing next month in Lae and in major towns.
“If you are an ANZ customer, you do not have to do anything. We (will) try to make that transaction as seamless as possible.
“You will still have the same account number, the same PIN number. You will still be able to use the blue plastic cards and they will work in ATMs, deposit machines at ANZ banks operating here in PNG.
