Kina Securities gets behind golf

Kina Securities Ltd is backing the 2018 golf pro-am category to help expose enthusiasts playing alongside professional golfers.
Kina Group chief executive Greg Pawson made the statement yesterday when announcing a K22,000 sponsorship of the event.
The sponsorship sees Kina Securities Ltd partnering the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club for the event in Port Moresby on April 25.
“This competition will expose amateur golfers to experience playing alongside international professional golfers,” Pawson said.
“This is a lifetime activity that promotes the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of people.
“Supporting our community through sports in Papua New Guinea is one of Kina’s key aims allowing us to give back to the local sports.”
Club president Peter Del Monte said: “The pro-am competition category will have corporate sides playing with each team – three amateur players plus a professional player.
“There will be about 15 players competing on the day.”
