THE Kindeng Settlers rugby league in Jiwaka completed its regular offseason games recently.
League president Mark Yama said completing the finals was now the priority.
The Under-19, A reserve and A grades would have the semi-finals.
Spartans beat KTB Pirates 2-1 and meet Kindeng Tea in the final.
Station Brothers take on Spartans in the A reserve match after beating Waghi Wreckers at 8-4 while the A grade final sees Kindeng Tea and Waghi Wreckers facing of after Kindeng outplayed Brothers 14-4.
Yama said that Jiwaka had 10 registered leagues and that rugby league was truly number one in the small province and gave credit to Governor William Tongamp.
“With the major support from Governor Tongamp I see that rugby league is progressing well in the province,” Yama said.
Yama said the league would now head into its season proper but there was still work to do to ensure the start of the season was a good one.
Yama said saluted the former PNGRFL chairman Don Fox and successor Sandis Tsaka for their contributions to promote rugby league in the country.
“Don Fox and Sandis Tsaka  have played major role to promote and develop the league and I acknowledge their contributions,” Yama said.
