Koiari Osisi, Kokofas through to preliminary finals

CENTRAL Province Premier League minor premiers Koiari Osisi and GYG Estate Kokofas qualified for the next stage of the finals next week.
Koiari Osisi beat Goilala Karukas 8-0 even though the match was disrupted and abandoned three minutes before full time.
Kokofas stopped Lealea Sharks 13-8 in a competitve tussle.
The preliminary finals this weekend will see the winners qualify for the grand finals.
In the women’s competition, Kokofas beat Toks Mix Dogs 14-0 while in a disputed match the Goilala Nuggets edge the Gordon Dragons 1-0.
The Dragons side lodged a formal complaint with the organisers that the field goal was actually a normal punt and not a dropped goal.
The CPPL judiciary committee is yet to return a decision on the complaint.
The Kokofas take on the Goilala Karukas in the preliminary final while the Koki Amazon Bay Seagulls face the Goilala Nuggets/ Gordons Dragon winner pending the outcome of complaint.
