PBF Agro Business Ltd and the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) signed a deal recently to establish the first horseback training facility to be set up at the Koitaki Agro Food Park outside Port Moresby.
This was announced recently by board chairman John Sanday, who reiterated the vision that Koitaki Plantation was being turned into Koitaki Agro Food Park and formed the investment foundation for an Agro Fund that would be listed on PomSox and shares made available to people to participate in the country’s agricultural potential.
PBF Agro Business Ltd chief executive Jerry Kootz Simon confirmed that the mounted horseback training facility was included in the overall plan of the Koitaki Agro Food Park as security for investors was a priority.
“The MOA (memorandum of agreement) now includes setting up a mounted horseback training facility up at Koitaki Agro Food Park, although the initial discussion was on police housing. We have a lot of good land for grazing and horses on the farm and police need a facility like Koitaki Agro Food Park to set up its mounted horseback training ground for its new personnel,” Simon said.
