KOLOALE FC defender Timothy Joe is set to join Eastern Stars of Papua New Guinea for the PNG 2009 National Soccer League season.
Koloale FC management confirmed Joe’s move from Koloale to the PNG club last Friday at the team’s home, the AE Oval.
The central defender will leave for Papua New Guinea at the end of this month.
Joe told Star Sports that this was an exciting move in his soccer career as it would be his first time to play in an overseas league.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity of playing in PNG’s national soccer league.
“I think it will not be much different from our league in Honiara as our DJ League is still very tough,” he said.
Eastern Stars are also believed to be eyeing Kossa FC flanker Paul.
